Professor Joplin was the leader of an expedition to discover a lost pyramid that was inexplicable located at the bottom of the ocean. Joplin inadvertently released the horror of the Mad Mummy, a Nether World creature, who had been trapped inside the pyramid. Through the strength and daring of the Marvel Family, the Mad Mummy was defeated and imprisoned at the bottom of the ocean once again. Joplin apologized for releasing the Mad Mummy and hasn’t been heard from since.
