The Vampire Burglar arrived in Fawcett City from Translyvania after an ocean voyage on the S.S. Moravia. Instead of attacking and killing the citizens of Captain Marvel's hometown for their blood (the sight of which he couldn't stand), he had made the trip for one purpose: to find and devour Goody Goody candy bars.

The Vampire Burglar even went to the extreme of stealing the candy bars from children and robbing warehouses where the candy was stockpiled. The Vampire Burglar was eventually apprehended by Captain Marvel and revealed that the candy bars contained malakiza -- a substance also found in human blood -- which satiated a vampire's hunger. With the blessing of the president of the Goody Goody candy bar company, the Vampire Burglar returned to Translyvania to become the local salesmans of the candy bars but at a price -- free candy bars!
